one of the funniest documentaries ever depicting
the struggle of a certain Mark Borchardt. He wants to make
a feature film but runs into financial difficulties. To fulfill
his dream he needs to finish a previous film so that he can
sell it to bring in revenue for the production costs of his
feature. Unbelievably funny.

hk category III films are usually an odd mixture of hard-core
violence and light hearted humor. This follows the genre to
a T with torture, wire fu sex scenes and exploding penises.
Fantastic! Plot revolves around the story of a falsely accused
man and woman who are tortured before the court into spilling
a "confession". Although the whole film is good - it will
probably most be remembered for the only film that has a flying
kung fu sex scene.

is even worse. he lives in the slums with his bitchy wife

clues us in on frat life to an almost obscene level. what
levels men will go to in order to fit into a society that
has to throw budweiser and ruffies down a girls throat to
get pussy. this movie was originally made for hbo but got
yoinked amidst criticism that it was faked. Read this article

this movie is virtually without gore but is disturbing nevertheless.
all the violence is off screen which is mainly the point of
the film, to challenge our thirst for violence and revenge
and then strip away the ability to strike back. this movie
is basically the polar opposite of Death Wish. if it was released
here it probably made $25 cause it's NOT a feel good movie
by any means. but great it is.

from director Todd Solondz comes his sophomore effort after
welcome
to the dollhouse. if you liked the dark humor in the aforementioned
film it gets ever darker with this one which follows three
sisters in the unattainable quest for 'happiness'. funniest
line is delivered father-to-son regarding the father's accused
standing as a rapist pedophile: the son - "Would you fuck
me?" the dad - pause "...no I'd probably just jerk off."

Young Leo Lauzon is torn between two worlds - the squalid
Montreal tenement that he inhabits with his severely dysfunctional
(and largely insane) family, and the imaginative world that
he constructs for himself through his writings, where he's
Leolo Lozone, son of a Sicilian peasant (conceived in a bizarre
act involving a tomato). And his experiences of growing up
(especially his sexual development) affect his response to
both these worlds...

an engrossing documentary following the trial of 3 youths
in the psychotically religious town of West Memphis, Arkansas.
Considering there is virtualy NO evidence other than the confession
of a certain Jesse Misskelly (tested IQ of 72) who was grilled
endlessly by the pigs. People in america can't understand
the concept of false confessions. Take the Black Dahlia case
where at last count there were over 200 people that confessed
to the crime. a truly great documentary that will piss you
off. check out the web
site devoted to trying to free the west memphis 3.

withstand a 300lb log swung from a rope, end first, into his

this fun little serial killer movie from german director
Jorg Buttgereit (Nekromantik, Der Todesking) is one of perhaps
only a handful of GOOD serial killer movies out there. the
troubled man, Schramm, nails his foreskin to the table in
one scene, fucks a rubber torso and snuffs out some religious
door-to-door visitors amongst other perhaps socially unacceptable
deeds. If you like Man Bites Dog, Henry: Portait of Serial
Killer, or Confessions of a Serial Killer, chances are you'll
like this one.

one of my favorite HK actors, Anthony Wong (who for some
reason reminds me of Booger from Revenge of the Nerds), is
under "possession" of the Eight Immortals Restaurant and makes
amazing Pork Buns. Why are they so great? Cause one of the
ingredients is chopped up people! This is a great category
III film (brutal black comedy) that is one half serial killer
movie and one half police/prison drama. recommended.
